The Power Control Unit

power control unit

A special in-house design of the power control unit (PCU) allows 100A of current to be injected into the ground in an intermittent manner triggered by an accurate GPS clock. Primary power can be generated by a standard three phase diesel generator. We are using a 60 kVA isolation transformer shown on the right side of the PCU . This transformer allows safe operation when the generator is placed in close vicinity of the current injecting electrodes.
